A sophisticated romantic dress in a lightweight gauzy linen with the perfect amount of drape. Embroidered appliqué florets dance around the two pockets and square neckline. Nicely fitted forties (yet so modern) silhouette with tailored shoulders, short sleeves, banded waist and looser flared hemline lined with weighty silk satin inside to keep a good flow. From label Julius Garfinckel & Co. Washington, circa 1940s.
• Size XXS/XS (see measurements)
• Feels like Linen gauze, possibly Rayon, light open weave, very soft
• Unlined, semi-sheer
• Metal zip at side with hooks at the waist
• Great condition, some visible marks from stitching where sideseam was letout, tiny threadbare spot on the zipper fabric (see both in last 2 pics), otherwise excellent
