Oh, the romance! Absolutely gorgeous vitage 1970s novelty chinoiserie print maxi dress with flutter sleeves and floating sheer overlay over solid lining. The fabric is a rich faded cherry red with strawberry pink lotus blooms, hibiscus branches, and indigo flying cranes, along with more classic garden motifs. Nicely fitted silhouette at the bodice with a wide tie at the high waist, allowing for extra adjustment. No maker label, very well-made, circa 1970s.
• Size S/M (see measurements)
• Cotton blend gauze outer w/ red nylon lining
• Lined, opaque
• Hook/zipper closure in back
• Excellent condition, very minor fading/pilling to the fabric but overall extremely light, no notable flaws
• Style No. D2720
Fit notes: fitted but easy to cinch in wide wide waist tie, fuller hip with lining that doesn't stretch. Definitely a dress worth altering if it's a little big at the bust!
