1920s Whiting & Davis Painted Metal Purse

Beauty! Antique metal mesh Whiting & Davis romantic handpainted purse with an ornate molded brass frame displaying a sweet flower and acanthus motif flanking the ball closure. Small and ornate, hanging from a strong yet wispy chain strap, with angled deco flower design on the front (love that pop of hot pink!) and zigzag edging along the bottom. Stamped Whiting & Davis "Mesh", circa 1920s.
 
• 3 1/2-5" width, 6" height, 1/2" depth, 5 1/2" strap drop
• Metal mesh, brass frame
• Ball clasp closure, unlined
• Goodcondition, visible patina and age to the metal frame and some rubbing/fading to parts of the painted design, definitely a lived-in look but structurally perfect, priced accordingly!
