Such good texture, color and hardware on this collectible 1940s Whiting and Davis "Alumesh" bag. Chunky ivory toned celluloid kisslock closure and hinge frame with funky chain link strap, all supporting a flexible white metal chain maille/mesh body. Roomy-ish interior has a small slip pocket inside the navy blue grosgrain lining. From label Whiting and Davis Co. Bags, made in USA.
